An Overlooked Bicentennial

Andrew Johnson National Historic Site

Greenville, Tennessee

The house was occupied by Andrew Johnson and his family from the 1830s to 1851. In 1851, Johnson took this house and lot and $950.00 and traded it for the Andrew Johnson homestead.

A. Johnson's bicentennial is in December '08. Lincoln's, in February '09, will get all the attention.
