Wisconsin Mortification

Holy Hill Basilica
Huberus, WI

This church, a national shrine and a historical landmark, was rededicated in 2006 as a minor basilica. It is built 1500 feet above sea level and is under the direction of the Discalced Carmelite Friars.

It must be hard to be discalced in Wisconsin much of the year, but maybe that's mortification of the flesh.
